According to https://github.com/jorgenschaefer/circe/releases circe's latest upstream version is now 2.7, which has been released a couple of days ago. Currently the Gentoo repository only includes a very old release, 1.3, from late 2013.

circe-2.7 is in the tree. I haven't found the time to do more than a test of basic functionality, though. So, please test.
I did some basic testing of circe-2.7 from the tree. No problems so far.
