It would be nice to have the host application for the passff WebExtension available in Gentoo. The installation shell script [1] or the www-pugins/browserpass (bug #645976) ebuild / PKGBUILD might serve as a basis for an ebuild. [1]: https://github.com/passff/passff/releases/download/1.1/install_host_app.sh DESCRIPTION="Host application for the zx2c4 pass manager extension for Firefox, Chrome and Opera" HOMEPAGE="https://github.com/passff/passff"
I don’t know about WebExtensions yet but before them we could install extensions system-side too. I think having the rest of the extension could be in a USE-flag. Otherwise with looking at the documentation, the host application seems pretty straighforward to ebuild. I propose myself as a proxy-maintainer of it as I’m using it for almost a year now. But I think someone that got more knowledge about WebExtensions should have priority.
