I have an issue with cups. Plesae version bump to the latest cups release, according to https://www.cups.org/: 19 Dec 2017 -> CUPS 2.3b1
Thank you for the bump request. You can help the maintainer with further information: Does a simple bump [1] work on your system? Chances are high, because a first look on the bump revealed only small changes. [1] https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Custom_repository#Simple_version_bump_of_an_ebuild_in_the_local_overlay note that it is tagged as "pre release" on https://github.com/apple/cups/releases The printing team can tell best, if it should go to the tree, or if we should wait till the release in this case.
I tried the 9999 ebuild version probably an hour ago. It seems that ebuild builds from git source. ASUS-G75VW /usr/src/linux # qlist -Iv net-print/cups net-print/cups-9999 net-print/cups-filters-1.18.0 It shows CUPS 2.3b1 in the first screen in a browser with http://localhost:631/ I still have some printer issues, but that is out of scope for this bug request. Thank you for the prelease stuff notice => quote: "This is the first beta of the CUPS 2.3 series which adopts the new CUPS license ..." Sorry I was not aware that it is beta software
