Hi, The package has a r1 the init/conf of quasselcore in it's files directory. However no ebuild installs those files atm. Can we update the ebuilds to use the newer init scripts or should we remove them?
Michael, you added the files in dcb995f7f08b66528487fe4e0a16a16bda502572 without making use of them in the ebuild, what was the plan?
I added the new files in bug 603414 (see comment #6) to fix a security issue. Part of that change involved logging to syslog by default, which might be considered a breaking change. Since I'm not the maintainer of quassel and I don't use it, I didn't want to push those changes live and potentially break a bunch of installations. If someone has tested the init script and if quassel does whatever it's supposed to do (without breaking anything too badly), then please use them.
