Description Andrew Minter 2002-08-12 20:08:30 UTC
Please find attached acct.tar.gz , containing an ebuild for the GNU accounting
utilities a simple startup script for /etc/init.d and a patch for the info file
to add an info dir entry.

The acct package gives you lastcomm and friends which can be very useful when
trying to find out what you Gentoo system is up to.

There are no dependancies (except the C library) but accounting needs to be
turned on in the kernel for the tools to do anything useful.

This is the first ebuild I've submitted, so it probably needs a careful scan
(slthough I've tested it carefully.)

Hope this helps!

Andrew

Can the patches in the Debian ftp directory be applied for testing, please? (http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/a/acct/) And does this ebuild add entries to cron for sar?
