media-sound/jamin should depend on virtual/jack instead of media-sound/jack-audio-connection-kit so we can use jack2. * dependency graph for media-sound/jamin-0.95.0-r3 `-- media-sound/jamin-0.95.0-r3 [~amd64 keyword] `-- media-sound/jack-audio-connection-kit-0.121.3-r1 (>=media-sound/jack-audio-connection-kit-0.80.0) amd64
Come on! This cannot be so hard... I have had this package with jack2 support in the past with no issues at all (before virtual/jack). And there may be some issues with undefined references to dlsym@@GLIBC_2.2.5, but without jack2 support I couldn't say...
this package has last commit in 2013 (https://sourceforge.net/p/jamin/code/ci/master/tree/). is it worth to update the ebuild or it can be dropped?

Considering the open bugs, either we package the Debian tarball including the debian patches, or this package is dead.
I have something queued up that builds, testing will have to be done by someone actually having JACK set up.

So, after commit 468d8f85d3f952a8b03632a468f19405638d8a92 there are no more open bugs on this package, however, considering upstream is dead and we are now using a Debian snapshot, it could be argued to better leave it in ~arch and just drop 0.95.0-r3 which can be considered completely broken.
