media-sound/rosegarden should depend on virtual/jack instead on media-sound/jack-audio-connection-kit so we can use jack2. * dependency graph for media-sound/rosegarden-17.04 `-- media-sound/rosegarden-17.04 [~amd64 keyword] `-- media-sound/jack-audio-connection-kit-0.121.3-r1 (media-sound/jack-audio-connection-kit) amd64
What's happening with the proaudio team? They're missing! Please, make more packages depends on virtual/jack. Thanks.
Can you confirm if Rosegarden works with both jack1 and jack2?
I've had rosegarden with jack 1.9 in the past, when the proaudio overlay provided that jack package. And the proaudio overlay also has a rosegarden-9999 package which depends on virtual/jack.
OK, thanks for the confirmation. I did a quick search but am unable to determine from which release Rosegarden started supporting jack2 (or maybe it always worked). I'll create a PR to change the deps, but am unable to validate all versions of Rosegarden. Hope that's OK. Maybe some old versions should be pruned. There are versions from 2013 in the tree and there are enough newer versions.
