Please bump sys-apps/linux-misc-apps to 4.12 or 4.13, it contains new usbip code to handle USB 3 devices.
The versions of these tools in the tree are very old and several are missing support for current hardware that has been added over the past ~3 years. Would be nice to get an update of some sort...
