The emacs-updater script contains two HTTP links to gentoo.org: - http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Emacs - http://bugs.gentoo.org/ Both targets support HTTPS, which should be preferred over plain HTTP for security reasons.
This has been fixed in the sources already some time ago: https://gitweb.gentoo.org/proj/emacs-tools.git/commit/?h=emacs-updater&id=09086af284adac010b93c759b69b7b9994f4c6ad So it will appear in the next release.
The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=1494a489641e916d6d23b57d738c82251580c71d commit 1494a489641e916d6d23b57d738c82251580c71d Author: Ulrich Müller <ulm@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2019-08-30 22:10:15 +0000 Commit: Ulrich Müller <ulm@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2019-08-30 22:10:15 +0000 app-admin/emacs-updater: Bump to version 1.16.
