app-emulation/lxd has a single maintainer, Erik Mackdanz, who doesn't look active any more. Bugs assigned to him have been stalled for weeks/months, I've sent him an email last week and received no answer. I'd like to help making this package more actively maintained, so I'd like to step in as a proxy maintainer. The last significant work on this ebuild ( https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=615444 ) was done by me, with Zac Medico's help.
What is the process here? We wait until $timeout to see if Erik will answer?
We no longer use these bugs. See: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers/User_Guide#Taking_over_an_existing_package i.e. basically we'll add you as soon as you submit some meaningful change to the package (bugfix, bump, etc.)

The current maintainer is unresponsive and I'd like to help keeping the package alive. I already have commits to the package, notably a major rewrite in 7c15f08e.
