RawTherapee 5.1-rc1 was just released, please add it to portage, or at least test it out so that there will be no surprises when 5.1 is released within a week. As far as I'm concerned, I just need to know that there are no issues building this on Gentoo. Please be explicit about that.
A pull request would certainly make it easier for us to merge it, and thus to avoid humongous delay.

Hi, I can confirm that it work I've used 5.0_rc1 to work on a few images, I miss the hardware to test the new functionality but there are no regression.
