Description Ioannis Aslanidis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-07 00:51:11 UTC
beep-media-player does not read the global /usr/share/beep/Skins/ directory, but it does read the personal one ~/.bmp/Skins

Probably it does the same with the Plugins.

The /usr/share/beep/Skins/ directory is a symlink to /usr/share/xmms/Skins/, which is created after emerging beep-media-player. If I make the same symlink in my ~/.bmp/ directory, then it *does* work.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge beep-media-player
2. Try to change the skin
Actual Results:
beep-media-player does not seem to look inside the system-wide
/usr/share/beep/Skins/ directory.

Comment 1 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-31 02:30:44 UTC
does this happen with 0.9.7?
Comment 2 Ioannis Aslanidis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-31 05:10:07 UTC
As the symlink was there when I upgraded it, I am not sure about that. Can you try it yourself?
Comment 3 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-31 11:30:12 UTC
I'm gonna say works for me, then.
Comment 4 Ioannis Aslanidis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-31 11:31:32 UTC
We can close it then. :)
