beep-media-player does not read the global /usr/share/beep/Skins/ directory, but it does read the personal one ~/.bmp/Skins Probably it does the same with the Plugins. The /usr/share/beep/Skins/ directory is a symlink to /usr/share/xmms/Skins/, which is created after emerging beep-media-player. If I make the same symlink in my ~/.bmp/ directory, then it *does* work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge beep-media-player 2. Try to change the skin Actual Results: beep-media-player does not seem to look inside the system-wide /usr/share/beep/Skins/ directory. does this happen with 0.9.7?
As the symlink was there when I upgraded it, I am not sure about that. Can you try it yourself?
I'm gonna say works for me, then.
We can close it then. :)
