I'm trying to `emerge -C tightvnc; emerge tigervnc` on headless dedicated server. Since it pulled in xorg-server and too many other x11 deps which weren't needed with tightvnc, I turned off use-flag xorgmodule. Now I get running `emerge tigervnc`: ... checking for LIBDRM... no configure: error: Package requirements (libdrm >= 2.3.0) were not met: No package 'libdrm' found Unless it actually cannot work headless without xorg-server (I believe it should; after all, it's tightvnc fork), libdrm dependency is missing in its ebuild.

Yeah, the handling of xorgserver vs. server USE flags is a bit strange as explained in bug 481928 :/ If you want "server" you will still need xorg deps :|

I'm having the same problem with USE="server -xorgmodule" net-misc/tigervnc-1.6.0-r2. From my point of view, the bug doesn't actually depend on bug #481928 since that bug talks about USE="-server xorgmodule", which is not what we have. I think, the solution is to add a new "drm" USE-flag. Please, find my proposed ebuild and ebuild patch attached, which does this. I've tried both USE="drm server -xorgmodule" and USE="-drm server -xorgmodule" and they compile fine. The patch also fixes "server -opengl" compilation.
