when merging every thing looks ok, but when installing to the system i see no /usr/bin/mono installing so i can't use it :(

i'm merging 1.0 version

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge mono
Actual Results:  
# mono
-bash: mono: command not found


Expected Results:  
# ls /usr/bin/mono
/usr/bin/mono

This has been covered before. there is no support yet for the JIT on the amd64 architecture. The only thing available is mint, the interpreter. UPSTREAM is working on the JIT for amd64, hopefully we will see it with one of the upcoming releases.

I may add a warning at the end of the emerge when on amd64 warning people about this, because this is a frequent question. Marking CANTFIX.

I have an x86 system, and /usr/bin/mono is not produced.

Do "etcat -f mono | grep bin"

I'm %99 sure that you have a broken gcc-config setup. See http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74460#c5 for more info on how to fix this if this is the case.

If something else is up, please feel free to post more info.
