Hey,

I see you've updated your bugzilla email. You need to also update any metadata.xml file for the packages you maintain to have bugs correctly assigned. Could you do it please?
Comment 2 Philippe Chaintreuil 2024-11-24 16:13:43 UTC
@juippis thanks for the heads up. I had forgotten my e-mail was in each of those.

*/*: Update my e-mail in hopes of less spam

I've already changed my e-mail in bugzilla, this updates my e-mail in
all the metadata.xml files it existed in.

I noticed in https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/40570 that the bot couldn't assign mail-filter/spamassassin to you as maintainer.

Apparently:
- metadata.xml lists gentoo_bugs_2_peep@parallaxshift.com
- your commits in the Gentoo repo have gentoo_bugs_peep@parallaxshift.com
- presumably your e-mail address on Github is also different?

Please fix this, because having to manually track down maintainers is a nuisance.
Comment 5 Philippe Chaintreuil 2025-02-15 11:28:23 UTC
@ulm, thanks for catching this.

 - Github updated
 - Verified Bugzilla & local git are using the new e-mail address

Past commits were made with the previous e-mail. I haven't committed/PR'ed anything since the change.

Any idea if there's a list of all the disconnected places Gentoo-dev e-mails end up being entered?
Comment 6 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2025-02-15 12:46:34 UTC
Looks like there is a file that contains the mappings.
Discussion from #gentoo-qa:

<+juippis> ulm: through https://github.com/projg2/dev2github
(update-pr-submitter-db.py) that generates a file which maps
e-mails and GH usernames, then it's uploaded to a private qa git
repo (no idea how it works after) [12:47]
<+juippis> I try to update it weekly
<@ulm> juippis: could you take a look at bug 586390 comment #4? [12:48]
<@ulm> it failed to assign the maintainer there
<+juippis> yeah, if they switch their e-mails, it needs to be manually synced
as the script only adds/checks new usernames [12:49]
<+juippis> I'll check it
<+juippis> "manually synced" -> manually updated
