I don't think it's the same upstream : the author seemed asian to me, by say the title of his page. http://qps.kldp.net/projects/qps When Luís Pereira sounds like a spanish name to me... But that's only my guess.
I assume it's a fork then. No other distro has picked it up, and I tend to think we shouldn't either. Sorry.
Well, I digged a little because the version we're stuck with is old: 2011 ! There is indeed a new home for the project, and upstream versions moved: https://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/mailman/message/32333994/ New home: https://github.com/QtDesktop/qps We should update this ebuild I think.
