Created attachment 406374 [details] xfce4 build log /usr/bin/msgmerge: /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.8.4/libgomp.so.1: version `GOMP_4.0' not found (required by /usr/bin/msgmerge) configure: error: GNU gettext tools not found; required for intltool Error when trying to emerge xfce4-mixer
Due to gcc downgrade issue.
I'm the one who told Tim/Smiley "hey this isn't a bug, you just broke gettext by downgrading your active gcc", but I think this is legitimately missing a DEPEND on sys-devel/gettext. He just happened to expose it by *breaking* the installed gettext, rather than not yet having gettext. The failure error with no gettext installed is mostly the same as the attached log: # emerge xfce-mixer .... checking for xgettext... no checking for msgmerge... no checking for msgfmt... no checking for gmsgfmt... no configure: error: GNU gettext tools not found; required for intltool !!! Please attach the following file when seeking support: !!! /mnt/btr/var-tmp/portage/xfce-extra/xfce4-mixer-4.11.0/work/xfce4-mixer-4.11.0/config.log * ERROR: xfce-extra/xfce4-mixer-4.11.0::gentoo failed (configure phase): * econf failed #
