The latest (and only) dev-utils/global in portage is version 6.3.1. Please upgrade the package, 6.3.4 is current. At least version 6.3.1 has the known bug that compacting GTAGS databases with gtags --compact does not work anymore with GTAGSLIBPATH. Confirmed by the developer (quite a long blog, sorry): http://blog.gmane.org/gmane.comp.gnu.global.bugs There is a workaround to not compact the GTAGS databases, however, this workaround is quite hard to find. Reproducible: Always
Upstream is meanwhile 6.5.2, portage still 6.3.1 from 2014/8/11. Please upgrade.
Ping. Current version is 6.5.4, portage 6.3.1. No ebuild update since at least 1.5 years.
