Description Paulo J. Matos 2004-06-04 07:19:45 UTC
After getting slime0.13 and adding to .emacs:
(setq inferior-lisp-program "/usr/bin/lisp")
(add-hook 'lisp-mode-hook (lambda () (slime-mode t)))
(add-hook 'inferior-lisp-mode-hook (lambda () (inferior-slime-mode t)))

If I open a lisp file and do M-x Emacs I get:
; Loading #p"/home/pmatos/.cmucl-init".

With core: /usr/lib/cmucl/lisp.core

Comment 1 Matthew Kennedy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-04 19:12:46 UTC
Hi Paulo. I am unable to reproduce this problem on two other machines in addition to my developement box. Some things which might help me track the problem down:

Try 1. emerge cmucl
     2. emerge slime
     3. emacs -q
     4. M-x load-file RET /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/70slime.el RET
     5. M-x slime RET

If this also causes a problem, try moving your ~/.cmucl-init out of the way before repeating the above steps (this will rule out the contentsof your .cmucl-init being a problem).

Also provide the output of find /usr/share/common-lisp/
