The most recent stable release upstream is version 3.3.6, released on July 10, 2014. I run it here without problems for months, on several machines. And at a customer as well. I think gentoo should pvovide it as ~ package already.
Version 3.3.7 came out a little over a week ago. The title of this bug should probably be updated to reflect.
Since 3.3.3 and 3.3.5 are broken due to bug below, can this be prioritized for ~? This version apparently handles the issue. Also, simply renaming ebuild from 3.3.5 to 3.3.7 works to bump. https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=537248
At a glance there appears to be no new or changed deps in the amanda-3.3.7. I shall leave this in a state of IN_PROGRESS. In case there are any, this bug will still appear in a simple search. *amanda-3.3.7 (03 Apr 2015) 03 Apr 2015; Ian Delaney <idella4@gentoo.org> +amanda-3.3.7.ebuild, amanda-3.3.3-r1.ebuild, amanda-3.3.5.ebuild: bump, patch fix from bug #537248 dropped, no longer required, request from proxy maintainer from bug #529074 testuser@archtester ~/cvsPortage/gentoo-x86/app-backup/amanda $ ek Keywords for app-backup/amanda: | | u | | a a a p s | n | | l m r h i m m p s p | u s | r | p d a m p a 6 i p c 3 a x | s l | e | h 6 r 6 p 6 8 p p 6 9 s r 8 | e o | p | a 4 m 4 a 4 k s c 4 0 h c 6 | d t | o ---------+-----------------------------+-----+------- 3.3.3 | o + o o o o o o + + o o ~ + | o 0 | gentoo 3.3.3-r1 | o ~ o o o o o o ~ ~ o o ~ ~ | # | gentoo 3.3.5 | o ~ o o o o o o ~ ~ o o ~ ~ | # | gentoo 3.3.7 | o ~ o o o o o o ~ ~ o o ~ ~ | o | gentoo Do 'we' want to put a stable request in for amanda-3.3.5? else wait a month and put up -3.3.7.....
