Description Knut Masanetz 2014-08-13 17:11:28 UTC
With gentoo package "dev-libs/cyberjack-3.99.5_p05" the pin request dialog on the card reader does not appear when it is triggered by the hbci banking software "Jameica/Hibiscus".
After installing the hand compiled source from reiner-sct.com over the installed "dev-libs/cyberjack-3.99.5_p05" overwriting /usr/lib64/readers/usb/libifd-cyberjack.bundle/Contents/Linux/libifd-cyberjack.so.6.0.0 the pin request works.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
0. Use REINER-SCT cyberjack RFID standard
1. Emerge dev-libs/cyberjack-3.99.5_p05
2. Start Jameica/Hibiscus (https://www.willuhn.de/)
3. Go to "Hibiscus" -> "Bank-Accounts" -> "New Bank-Account..." -> "HBCI-Method"-"Chipcard reader" -> "Search..."
("Hibiscus" -> "Bank-Zugänge" -> "Neuer Bank-Zugang..." -> "HBCI-Verfahren"-"Chipkartenleser" -> "Kartenleser suchen..." in deutsch)
4. No request for PIN on cardreader
5. Download driver source and untar (http://support.reiner-sct.de/downloads/LINUX/V3.99.5_SP05/pcsc-cyberjack-3.99.5final.SP05.tar.bz2)
6. make -f Makefile.cvs -> make -> sudo make install
7. Restart pcscd to make sure, it uses the newly compiled driver
8. Start "Jameica/Hibiscus" again and search for card reader
9. The PIN dialog on the card reader appears and the search succedes...
Actual Results:
No PIN request on card reader with gentoo package

Expected Results:
PIN request on card reader

Comment 2 Phil 2015-03-23 00:31:27 UTC
I can confirm gentoo-version of cyberjack-3.99.5_p05 being problematic, although I use Moneyplex instead of Hibiscus. After installing cyberjack from portage, pcsc_scan successfully detects my reader, using the 'test' button in Moneyplex's settings succeeds as well, but a real transaction (like saldo update) fails. After replacing libifd-cyberjack.so.6.0.0 with one built from the vendor's official sources, everything works like a charm.

Apparently, Reiner SCT changed pcsc-cyberjack-3.99.5final.SP05.tar.bz2 without changing the name (at least that's what I vaguely remember from fixing this problem on another system a while ago). Portage downloads a cached version of the tarball from a Gentoo mirror instead of the official source. Due to the identical filename, I have no idea how to cleanly implement this in portage without creating digest failures for everyone with outdated portage tree.

IIRC, the root cause of this issue is an incompatibility between pcsc-cyberjack and pcsc-lite, therefore independent of the actual banking software used (as long as it accesses the cardreader via pcsc, of course).

Updating to newer version (bug #563872) fixes this problem for me.

Knut, Phil, Fabian: Please try dev-libs/cyberjack-3.99.5_p08 which is now in portage. Feel free to reopen if the issue persists with that version. Thanks :)
