The latest version of media-libs/xine-lib in prefix-tree is media-libs/xine-lib-1.2.2, but there are ebuilds in gx86 that depend on >=media-libs/xine-lib-1.2.5, causing installation of those packages to break unless the offending package versions are manually masked.

needs to be bumped by someone with solaris & darwin access (many patches)

I think we may just drop this, tbh. It's *really* outdated and vulnerable. Not convinced anybody is using this or it works.

This is media stuff, we should just forget about this and drop it.  No resources to maintain this.

    media-libs/xine-lib: drop package
    
    We don't have the resources right now to maintain
    extra packages (like media stuff) right now
    in the overlay, as shown by how out of date
    this package is.
    
    A lot of the patches had upstream bugs
    (now dead URLs), so hopefully they made
    it upstream anyway.
