Description xlyz 2004-05-09 18:32:03 UTC
no gnome installed

upgraded gpdf from 0.112.1 to 0.131
due to dependencies libgnomeprint-2.6.0 get upgraded as well
after that gpdf does not work any more
with every pdf I open, gdpf just shows the top left corner of an empty (==white) page
launching it from a console don't show any error message
downgraded gpdf to stable and still the same problem
downgraded libgnomeprint to stable and eventually gpdf 0.112.1 works again

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

First rebuild with lower optimizations (_always_ do this as a first step).
Comment 2 xlyz 2004-05-10 06:05:22 UTC
emerged again both libgnomeprint and gpdf with CFLAGS="-mcpu=i686 -O2" and the problem is still there
Comment 3 xlyz 2004-05-11 10:14:56 UTC
emerged gnome 2.4 and the problem was still there

emerged gnome 2.6 and the problem is gone

could it be a missing dependency?

Comment 4 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-11 04:31:46 UTC
I don't know, maybe some ABI instability. But that makes it not reproducable & we had no further report.
