Description David Heidelberg (okias) 2014-03-04 18:57:22 UTC
difference between rc1 and rc2, that rc2 start forcing me to install links.

As I looked at debian solution, they're happy with any browser and use virtual package for it.

Is possible to create some virtual package for www-browsers rather than using virtual/w3m and hardcoded two browsers into ebuild? If yes, I'll create bug with request.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 David Heidelberg (okias) 2014-03-04 20:01:26 UTC
Sorry about that, I investigate more and it's required to build it.

Probably this could be avoided by not building man pages, not sure how.
Comment 2 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-03-04 20:46:50 UTC
Earlier, there was stale old manpages in the git, as in, the pregenerated manpages were part of the repository, which caused people to ship
old manpages
However, the upstream should still ship the generated manpages for the release *tarballs* to avoid these type of build dependencies
If you have free time, please contact the upstream author, Rex Dieter, or possibly Jiri Slaby, to do that:
