i've sent patches to upstream libacl for this now
Comment 3 Rolf Eike Beer archtester 2018-06-18 16:16:23 UTC
So, 5 years later and this is still happening. The fix to acl got applied upstrean according to the mailing list, can we get a backport of new version please?

sys-apps/acl would require the bump. Let's try to request a new upstream release first before we do a snapshot release.

vapier did the same 3 years ago, let's wait and see until July (https://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/acl-devel/2018-06/msg00000.html).

it does exist, just not on all the gnu mirrors. it takes some time to propagate to all of them, just like it takes time to propagate on gentoo mirrors.
