Description Ted Tanberry 2013-04-18 12:47:16 UTC
Eigen 3.1.3 has been released. As I use Eigen extensively, it would be nice to get it merged into the tree. This would also be a first for including the 3.1 branch. Renaming eigen-3.0.6.ebuild to eigen-3.1.3.ebuild is all that is required to get it working.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Patrick Lauer gentoo-dev 2013-04-19 07:15:01 UTC
One test fails:

 Test kronecker_product failed:

Comment 4 Siim Ainsaar 2013-04-20 13:35:11 UTC
The test failure seems to be known upstream as http://eigen.tuxfamily.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=539 , however, I cannot understand whether it is taken as a real bug there. Their comment 1 suggests that it should be fixed already... (In some future release?) Now, from comment 3: "The tests are with random matrices, so we expect some tests to fail occasionally." Does this mean that some failures should be tolerated? Which ones should be? Such tests should be excluded from the Gentoo testpack as unreliable.

Please test with 3.3.7.

All I can say is that I have eigen 3.3.7 merged without problems since 26-DEC-2018.

Anyone else regarding test failure?
