Description Malte E. 2013-02-03 11:12:57 UTC
There are lots of files that are installed on my computer but are not found by scilab because the build process is looking for them in the wrong spot.

Reproducible: Always

I'm having trouble reading your log. Is it in some strange (not utf8) encoding?
Comment 5 eroen 2013-02-04 14:38:47 UTC
Disregard that, I see it's a .txz, but a 400k log is probably okay to just attach uncompressed. AFAIK the bugzilla only starts whining at 1M.

build.tar.xz

Changed the MIME type, should be downloadable and extractable (tar xzf ...) now.

Please provide the output of `emerge --info` too, thank you.

emerge --info

Here my emerge --info
Sorry about the previous files, first I uploaded empty files by accident and when I uploaded the current one with the wrong mime type, I didn't want to upload yet another file.
Comment 9 Malte E. 2013-02-05 15:22:49 UTC
Btw. it's a fresh gentoo installation that still lives in a chroot
Comment 10 Guillaume Horel 2013-02-12 03:30:11 UTC
Looks like you disabled xcos. Can you try to rebuild with xcos enabled? (USE=xcos emerge scila). It should fix the issue. The missing files messages are harmless.
Comment 11 Malte E. 2013-02-12 13:14:40 UTC
building with USE="xcos" worked.
Comment 12 cmuelle8 2013-04-17 17:08:29 UTC
If USE="-xcos" does not build, maybe the ebuild should just hard enable the flag for now?

Or at least

IUSE="[...] +xcos"

scilab-5.4.0 is not in the overlay anymore. The most recent version is scilab-5.5.2.
