What it's more difficult is to update the "gentoo" patch that drops the RPM needing :/
Looking at the list of abrt releases [1], it appears that Gentoo is using a version (2.0.12) that was released in 2012. The current version appears to be 2.10.5. Given that this has at least two CVEs attached: Should this package be assigned to maintainer-needed or tree-cleaned? [1]: https://github.com/abrt/abrt/releases
Version 2.10.7 is current.
