Some time before I have noted, that when I try to open links from pidgin or from claws-mail, I got them opened in chromium, but I always got an annoying error message: "Failed to execute default Web Browser. Input/output error." When I select the other system browser in preferred applications (firefox, midory), than no error appears. Also, I don't know why, but there is TWO(?) chromiums in the list box: one this chromium icon, and the other with default application icon. Actually, I have only 1 chromium installed. Reproducible: Always

Xfce has had chromimum support since 4.10 wrt bug 388853. Unless angelos uses chromium, I certainly won't even test this... it's likely local bad .desktop files in ~/.local/share/applications/* (just a guess)
Is this possibly another symptom of bug #436478 ? I'm running XFCE here and didn't notice the problem.

It also came out of nowhere, so I don't think it's a bad .desktop.

Could you check if the command your DE uses prints anything in the terminal emulator? There could be some error messages there leading to more clues.

(In reply to comment #6) > I preformed some @world upgrades, and my current at Chromium version > (22.0.1229.94) it is not reproducible too. There is no indication this was an upstream thing, let's keep the WORKSFORME status for now.
