The ipadic license is a free software license however it's not included in any of the free software metasets. The most appropriate one would be the MISC-FREE as the license is on either the FSF or OSI approved lists. More information on the license can be found here http://wiki.debian.org/IpadicLicense Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 298175 [details] LICENSE.Fedora in their RPM for mecab-ipadic-2.7.0 (In reply to comment #0) > More information on the license can be found here > http://wiki.debian.org/IpadicLicense tl;dr (what a mess - why are they discussing all this unrelated stuff?) Attached is Fedora's assessment of the license which is much clearer. I think that we can follow them and add ipadic to @MISC-FREE.

Created attachment 298179 [details] LICENSE.jp.html (referred to in LICENSE.Fedora) Reposting, character encoding in previous attachment was messed up.

"ipadic license" meets the conditions for MISC-FREE. I propose to review this issue due to Bug 411593. thanks,
Added to MISC-FREE license group. Sorry for the delay.
