The media-plugins/gimp-resynthesizer in portage, 0.16, appears to be from 2008. Version 2.0.1 was just released. Please update. https://github.com/bootchk/resynthesizer/releases Furthermore: 1. The original author is Paul Harrison, "pfh". He has not maintained the code since version 0.16. 2. Development was picked up by Lloyd Konneker, "bootchk", in 2010. He continues to maintain the project to this day. 3. The original website, http://www.logarithmic.net/pfh/resynthesizer , is unmaintained. It simply points to bootchk's GitHub page - i.e. Paul acknowledges that Lloyd took over. The ebuild should just point that GitHub page as the homepage so that users can get accurate, up to date information.

I read through the linked articles. I have generally very much on my plate with little time and I know how much time learning to do this well may take, but on the other hand I would like to try proxy maintaining a package. We can give it a try.

resynthesizer-2.0.1 is still not in portage, and I received no messages from proxy maintainers or anyone. Regardless, it seems I moved on from Gentoo to Sabayon and have no time for maintaining such an ebuild anymore.
