Description Hans-Christian Armingeon 2003-12-17 12:37:42 UTC
Hi,

I have some programs installed, that depend on tex 1.x and some that depend on 2.x . Every time I do an emerge -u world, tex gets rebuild.

Shouldn't there be different slots for each version?

Johnny

I don't think maintaining two tetex versions side by side is something we're looking at. What requires 1.x and can't use version 2?
Comment 2 Hans-Christian Armingeon 2003-12-18 05:29:42 UTC
dvipdfm-0.13.2c depends on tex 1.x.

I deinstalled it.

Quote from the ChangeLog:
02 Oct 2003
Changed depends to tetex-1 as tetex-2 provides this package and hence conflicts, see bug #29721
