from the log: * Forcing iconv for 1.7.3.4-r1 due to bugs #321895, #322205.
Bug 321895 says that ebuilds should depend on iconv in uclibc because it's a separate package. However, dev-libs/libiconv is hardmasked for by the uclibc profile because it 'breaks gcc and such'. Stalemate?
can we revisit this ? I agree with above comments. It should be fine now with USE=-iconv Is there any reason why it's still enforcing iconv? I need it for my uclibc x86 server
should be all set now in the tree; thanks for the report!
