same here on hardened gentoo with the following use flags: cdr ipod libnotify python udev
Are you able to reproduce with 0.13.3? In that case, please run rhythmbox from a terminal looking for errors when trying to reproduce the problem

Please try with 2.99.1 (0.12.x is completely dead and unmaintained)
