gaim-smileys package can not be emerged. It fails with two errors. Please do not assign bugs you are not sure of where exactly they should go, our bugwranglers have gone trough extensive, exhausting, long-lasting trainingcamps to just achieve that one goal : getting bugs to the right team. We have nothing todo with gaim or gaim-smileys.
Frederic remove /usr/portage/distfiles/nis.tar.gz and try again. The problem is that there is a newer version of the nis file but it is named the same so this collision occurs.
Reporter wrote back offline that it works now.
