Hello,
on 01/Jul/2010 ProFTPD 1.3.3a [1,2] with a lot of bugfixes has been released. I will attach two patches:

proftpd-1.3.3a.ebuild.patch (against proftpd-1.3.3-r1.ebuild):
* Update mod_case to 0.4.
* Some small code style changes.

proftpd.initd.patch (against proftpd.initd):
* Fix Gentoo Bug #314055.
(No file rename necessary)

I think we should add ProFTPD 1.3.3a to the portage tree, wait a week for critical bug reports and then start a stabilization request for it.

Just when I was about to open a stabling bug for 1.3.3 ;) Thanks (as usual) for the report and patches, I've added 1.3.3a to tree, new stable candidate when I get back from internet blackout
