media-sound/banshee should depend on hal, because current releases (and also dev releases) cannot access CDs or digital audio players without it.

There is a gnome bug against banshee about this, with the current status of a branch with a gio/udev backend: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=612616 .
