This patch has been released on sourceforge some time ago. It fixes some issues as the program crashing when LaTeX is run on no document, should fix the LaTeX help (though the reference is still not working!), fixes an autosave problem.

Closing as fixed as a newer version of kile is in portage.  if these problems still aren't fixed in that version, please reopen.
