Description dE 2009-12-20 08:40:42 UTC
Downloader for X is a Linux/Unix userfriendly program with nice X interface to download files from the Internet. It suppotrs both FTP and HTTP protocols, supports resuming (of course if server side supports it) and makes downloading files from internet easy. Downloader for X is an analogue for Linux/Unix of such famous applications for Windows as ReGet, Go!Zilla and GetRight.

Was already in portage once:

http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/net-misc/d4x/?hideattic=0

IIRC it got removed becasue it failed to build with gcc-4.4 and upstream was dead.

Doesn't compile,

about.cc:211: error: ‘GtkSignalFunc’ was not declared in this scope
about.cc:211: error: expected ‘)’ before ‘destroy_about_window’
about.cc:213: error: expected ‘)’ before ‘about_window_esc_handler’
about.cc:214: error: expected ‘)’ before ‘;’ token
about.cc:215: error: expected ‘)’ before ‘destroy_about_window’
about.cc:216: error: expected ‘)’ before ‘;’ token

Doesn't look like any improvement over to what was removed from Portage.

Yeah, I got the same issue after downloading 2.5.7.2 sources which was released on November 2009 and sorta got the same issue.

The project is active I think, it's time someone notifies the developer about this.
