Here is an ebuild for the newest non-commercial release of the Intel Fortran Compiler. As mentioned in #27395, this version of ifc is compatible with glibc-2.3.2.
Created attachment 18235 [details] ifc-7.1.008.ebuild
Created attachment 18236 [details] ifc ifc wrapper. Should go into files/7.1.008/
Created attachment 18237 [details] 05icc-ifc 05icc-ifc environment variables. I deleted the environment variables IA32ROOT and INTEL_FLEXLM_LICENSE from the previous versions of these files. They are not needed for icc-7 or ifc-7.

ifc-7.1.034 is available for download
Created attachment 19869 [details] ifc-7.1.034.ebuild An ebuild for a newer version of ifc. This version must be downloaded manually from https://premier.intel.com. Please see notes in the ebuild. Maybe ifc-7.1.008 AND this version should be included in portage, since some people might not want to deal premier.intel.com and manual fetching? cp -a files/ifc-7.1.008 to files/ifc-7.1.034, for ifc and 05icc-ifc (attached).
Hi, Just wondering if we can get this ebuild into the tree? At the very least, 7.1.008, as the current latest version in portage has issues with glibc-2.3.2. thanks, chad
how about RESTRICT="fetch" ?
Created attachment 22060 [details] ifc-7.1.036.ebuild Version bump.
Added. I was unable to fetch 7.1.034 or 36 via premier support. avenj@gentoo.org has a bug to import 8.0.34. In the meantime 7.1.008 is in the tree.
