When emerging broadcom-sta using 'emerge --jobs ...'; emerge will silently hang at the "accept license" stage; see also bug #269025. IMO, the current accepted fix would be to add PROPERTIES="interactive" to the broadcom-sta ebuilds requiring interactive license acceptance. This bug may touch on a broader issue: According to the above-mentioned bug #269025, the interactive license question can be skipped by specifying ACCEPT_LICENSE="Broadcom" in make.conf. Ideally, there should be some provision for allowing emerge to decide whether this ebuild should be interactive, depending on whether the user has "pre-accepted" the license from make.conf (=> non-interactive) or not (=> interactive).
