When emerging the now-stabilized =app-portage/layman-1.2.3 on amd64, while all the default paths have changed to /usr/local/portage/layman, the documentation still refers to /usr/portage/local/layman. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge =app-portage/layman-1.2.3 2.Open file /usr/share/doc/layman-1.2.3/html/layman.8.html 3.Look at the outdated references to /usr/portage/local/layman Actual Results: /usr/portage/local/layman is mentioned in the documentation. Expected Results: /usr/local/portage/layman should be mentioned in the documentation. The same problem applies to the man page, too.
This is a follow-up of bug 234918 (which already has been closed).
The man pages installed by layman-1.2.0-r1 also have old references to /usr/portage/local. Haven't checked 1.2.3 yet though, but wanted to leave this note about man pages probably being affected too together with the CCing notification.
Was able to upgrade layman on one machine to the latest available version in portage (1.2.3), and verified that the latest still references /usr/portage/layman in its man page as well.
Thanks for the note! Fixed in http://layman.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=layman/layman;a=commitdiff;h=d8aba0957f6ea4fe07444566459d2c80705711ed Will be part of layman-1.2.4
layman 1.2.4 has been released, closing.
