Description bugs.gentoo.org 2009-04-20 16:06:08 UTC
I receive the following error when executing
Quote:
/etc/init.d/dbus start

Error:
* Starting D-BUS system messagebus ...
Failed to start message bus: No text content expected inside XML element busconfig in configuration file

executing
/etc/init.d/dbus reload

gives:
* Reloading D-BUS messagebus config ...
Failed to open connection to system message bus: Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory

Re-emerging dbus and hal did not change anything.

Anyone can help?

Comment 4 bugs.gentoo.org 2009-04-26 13:36:33 UTC
resolved: I did emerge -C removed all /etc/dbus-1 and re-emerged. that solved it
