mono ain't gnome, thanks for understanding. please also provide tomboy version and build.log as said in emerge's output.
app-misc/tomboy-0.10.2 >=dev-lang/mono-1.2.5.1-r1 (all versions do buzz at the same moment) Build log I'll attach in next ten minutes. P.S. in what component I have to move this ticket? =)
Created attachment 177725 [details] build.log build.log of mono-1.2.5.1-r1 I wait about 10 minutes, but nothing is changed =(
full rebuild (emerge -e world) is not helping with this problem.
(In reply to comment #5) > full rebuild (emerge -e world) is not helping with this problem. > Please attach the build.log from mono-2.0.1-r1 and your emerge --info output?
Created attachment 177750 [details] emerge --info
Created attachment 177753 [details] build.log for latest mono
The built mono compiler is failing a basic check, compiling this programme: class X { static int Main () { return 0; } } I think first we want to make sure that this is not a manifestation of bug 249711: How much ram do you have? How much swap? Do you already have a version of mono installed? If yes, emerge -C mono&&emerge mono. Also, please attach /var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/mono-2.0.1-r1/temp/environment
No, I have no mono installed. I have 1 GB RAM and 2 GB swap partition. I can attach environment in a day or two cause I'm not at home now.
O.o the same buzz on my x86 at least with mono-1.2.5.1-r1 with [top] I can see that [mono] process eating 100% of my CPU in this time, but nothing on my display after 15 minutes waiting after the same 'mcs' monolite.

x86, not latest mono log files attached. now I'll try to build latest mono and do the same.
Created attachment 178528 [details] x86, mono-2.0.1-r1, build.log
Created attachment 178529 [details] x86, mono-2.0.1-r1, environment
So, all what you need is attached.
Right now, I don't know what's causing your build to fail. We'll probably have to start guessing a bit. The overlay I see, bobrik-cleartype, do both computers use that? Anything else that's common for both computers? Be verbose and consider the possibilities. Bug 196314 looks a lot like this. There the problem was with sandbox. To test this, try: emerge -1 sandbox; emerge mono OR FEATURES="-sandbox" emerge mono
Both computers are the same configuration, but one of it is amd64 for experiment. Both computers using bobrik-cleartype overlay. It has several ebuilds for the font antialiasing (patched cairo, libXft and freetype packages). FEATURES="-sandbox" emerge mono and emerge -1 sandbox; emerge mono doesn't help =(
I am with Gentoo about a year and it was no problems before with mono. It happens after full reinstall my system from stage3. Maybe something wrong in kernel config?
And no result with ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86"
(In reply to comment #21) > I am with Gentoo about a year and it was no problems before with mono. > It happens after full reinstall my system from stage3. > > Maybe something wrong in kernel config? I know you can get it to fail in strange ways if you omit installing the PROC filesystem.

Switched to ugly Ubuntu, sorry
