Observed on two amd64 machines that are on a different upgrade path. Googleearth worked fine on both up to approx. 1 week ago, now it does not work anymore. No big upgrades of libraries during that time as far as I remember. I will send the crashlog file it produced, but I'm not sure that is helpful. I tried re-emerging on one of the machines. No difference. Before crashing it tells me that there is a never version available from google, so I will try that one Reproducible: Always Actual Results: crashlog generated while drawing the countries of Middle-America wx=0.312690, wy=0.328990, rx=0.639990, ry=0.330000 gx=0.210000, gy=0.710000, bx=0.149990, by=0.059990 wx=0.312690, wy=0.328990, rx=0.639990, ry=0.330000 gx=0.210000, gy=0.710000, bx=0.149990, by=0.059990 wx=0.312690, wy=0.328990, rx=0.639990, ry=0.330000 gx=0.210000, gy=0.710000, bx=0.149990, by=0.059990 Google Earth has caught signal 11. I can confirm this bug on AMD64 with googleearth 4.2.205.5730.
Same problem here. Anyone managed to fix it?
Same problem here. I am using amd64 with an Nvidia card. One other thing of note: Whenever I start google earth, it will tell me the proper font is not installed, even though the font was pulled in as a dependency during the emerge.
Uhm... So the problem is problably not my video card, maybe it's amd64. But, btw, I don't think the font causes the problem, since I don't receive this message.
Anyone here tried googleearth-5.0.11337.1968_beta? I'm having other problem with it: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258157
I had exactly the same problem (yes, amd64). Upgrading to 4.3.7284.3916 helped. Didn't try 5.0 beta.
5.0.11733.9347 is working fine here (amd64, nvidia, stable system).
I've got the same problem on amd64 and also nVidia graphics card.
Does 5.1 work?
(In reply to comment #10) > Does 5.1 work? > x11-misc/googleearth-5.1.3533.1731-r1 works here (x86 stable system, nvidia, with use flag qt-bundled)
(In reply to comment #10) > Does 5.1 work? > Works fine. Thanks. Klaas
5.1 was stabilized.
