Comment 2 Arttu Valo 2008-10-24 23:26:37 UTC
This is not x86 specific, I can reproduce this on amd64.

For me the key seems to be intltool (e.g., compare with bug #240958 ). When I have the stable intltool 0.37.1, gcolor2 emerges just fine. When I emerge the unstable intltool 0.40.5 and try emerging gcolor2, I get the same failure as in this bug.
Comment 3 Michael Krutov 2008-10-24 23:35:44 UTC
Then, i think, it could be changed to 'fixed'..
Comment 4 Arttu Valo 2008-10-25 00:09:18 UTC
Ahem, IMHO it's not really fixed, we've only established one way to reproduce the problem and found a very likely cause.

However, we are still missing a patch or other kind of a permanent solution for it, though. For the short term, downgrading intltool is probably a reasonable solution -- if it works for you as it worked for me. But for a long term solution we probably need a patch, like in that other bug. I can probably try to produce one tomorrow (local time is 3AM, sorry I'm not going to do it right away :) ).

So you might really want to reopen the bug. I don't have any special powers on b.g.o, so I cannot do it for you. :)
Comment 5 Michael Krutov 2008-10-25 00:51:47 UTC
Well, yes, it is not the solution, you are right.. didn't think about it :\
Comment 6 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-25 10:24:23 UTC
missing intltoolize call
Comment 7 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-25 11:17:34 UTC
fixed without a bump.
Comment 8 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-25 11:37:20 UTC
oops, closing.
