Hello, wxGTK-2.8.7.1-r1 has been in stable tree for 5 months now. Please use it instead of wxGTK-2.6 SLOT in a flamerobin revbump, as the following ChangeLog indication is no longer true and you can use 2.8: 09 Oct 2007; William L. Thomson Jr. <wltjr@gentoo.org> +flamerobin-0.8.0.ebuild: Bumped to latest release. Ideally wants wxGTK 2.8.6, but it's not in tree. Still fully compatible with 2.6
Of course after testing it works as good with it or better than against 2.6, etc. Just mentioning to make sure it's known I haven't actually tested. We just want to get rid of 2.6 eventually, 2.8 is supposed to be better, and I stumbled upon http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-5184211.html
Cool, I will update package deps ASAP.
Reassigning to maintainer-needed since wltjr has left Gentoo, bug #135927.
Created attachment 171400 [details] ebuild for current flamerobin
(In reply to comment #4) > Created an attachment (id=171400) [edit] > ebuild for current flamerobin Please open a separate bug report for the version bump (I won't fix it, but I will close this bug here). Requests now >=2.6, please test.
Please do not depend on multiple slots at once. Pick one and go with it. That one should be 2.8 as I'm suggesting. With the changes it's still saying WX_GTK_VER="2.6" and that probably won't work so well if only 2.8 is on the system.
Using EAPI 1 now for fixed slot dependency.
