Trying to boot using the minimal install CD on an ibook G3 (white) 14.1" screen.

Boot hangs after core99_setup_cpu 0 done

same problem with 2007.1

all kernel options result in the same problem

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Boot off CD
2.select ppc32 as kernel
3. ANY kernel options will work
4. boot.

Actual Results:  
It will hang after
core99_setup_cpu 0 done

HD stops spinning, and cd stops spinning

Expected Results:  
gone onto graphical or text based boot

There is no 2008.0. There is however a 2008.0_beta1 and 2008.0_beta2. Can you be more specific?

Probably an issue with the linux kernel.

Possibly something related to: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65247 ? Regression perhaps?

Do you currently have a modern kernel config you can provide that does work?  Then perhaps I can diff things.

Please test the latest autobuild CD and open a new bug if that still fails.
