Description Ulenrich 2008-04-22 18:37:28 UTC
Since development of the famous midnight commander seems to stall at version
http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mc/mc-4.6.2-pre1.tar.gz
But there is no way to compile mc-4.6.1 on ppc64 cause of umode_t handling
(see Bug #208949) i would like to see the version 4.6.2-pre1 in gentoo.
That pre1 version runs without a crash on my playstation3-ppc64 since 2 weeks.

added for testing into p.mask

I've emerged mc-4.6.2-pre1 on my x86 machine.

I found that in mcedit the cursor disappears on whitespace characters. For example on space and tab "characters". I see the blue dots, and arrows which I think should symbolize whitespace characters, but I can't see the cursor when it's over them. Is it a bug or feature? :)
